DESCRIPTION:Throughout this interactive workshop Ashley will share parts of her story and provide participants with tools to help them push through emotional\, mental\, physical and social limits they so often put on themselves. Participants will leave feeling empowered as a result of learning various ways to decrease anxieties and stress associated with various types of relationships they will experience both now and in the future.  Ashley will emphasize topics embracing the Shine Initiative’s mission to combat discrimination and destigmatize mental health conditions in children and young adults.  \nAshley will incorporate activities around the various topics:\n-Who are you really?\n-Self-talk\n-Power of Influence\n-How you relate to others/How others relate to you\n-Social media-internal/external validation\n-Creating rapport\n-Setting and communication boundaries\n-You become who you surround yourself with\n-What is a “real” friend? \nOpen to students/staff/teachers participating in the Mind Matters Summit only
