DESCRIPTION:Ashley is teaming up with Shrewsbury Athletic Director Jay Costa to present this interactive course. The Creating a Winning Atmosphere Through Sports course will examine such topics as the mental aspects of sports\, the motivation of athletes\, the building of a team culture\, as well as learning techniques and strategies for building a “winning atmosphere.” \nThe course will utilize the wisdom of coaches to share experiences in addition to supplemental readings and videos to support all topics. There will be a variety of strategically planned interactive activities that promote a deepened sense of learning centered around the topics in the course. Coaches will be provided additional team-building activities that can be used to increase competitiveness\, camaraderie and team chemistry while also allowing coaches to develop a larger network outside of their respective sport.  \nSpecifically\, participants will identify materials that are associated with building team confidence\, enhancing team performance\, and creating program expectations. Participants will be provided with a variety of tools and techniques to help push through the social\, emotional\, mental and physical needs of athletes and coaches throughout the season.
