Throughout this interactive workshop Ashley will focus on: understanding resilience and its importance, self-talk, turning challenges into opportunities to learn/grow/conquer, perspective, building a strong support network, reflecting on experiences to gain knowledge/improve, empowerment, body language, tools that decrease stress/anxiety and increase confidence/productivity, intentionally channeling energy, influencing situations instead of being influenced by situations, perseverance, the impact of consistency, accountability and trust. The MIAA Pillars: Leadership. Community Service. Sportsmanship. Wellness. will be reinforced and emphasized throughout the session.

The Shine Initiative and NTQ will be joining forces to present an interactive informative assembly/workshop session focused on: recognizing early signs of mental health struggles, enhancing overall performance, strengthening coping skills, building resilience, managing everyday life stressors, the power of influence, being a supportive teammate, how the little things are...the big things, confidence, self-talk, body language, understanding the body-mind stress response and that you are a part of something greater than yourself. These student-athletes will be provided with tools to help them push through the emotional, mental and physical limits/pressures they so often put on themselves not only as student-athletes but in all aspects of life.

Throughout this interactive workshop Ashley will be focusing on: creating high performance habits, body language, emotional/mental/physical GRIT, language/action alignment, mindset, courage, pressure is a privilege, how you "show up" matters, effective leadership, internal connection, setting/attaining high standards, sportsmanship, committing to something greater than yourself and reinforcing a culture of positive authentic energy. The QCC WYVERNS Baseball Values of: Accountability. Discipline. Honesty. will be emphasized during all of the strategically planned: individual, partner, small group and team activities.

She will briefly describe the various NTQ workshops offered: Leadership, Communication, BRING IT!, Energy: What are your vibes?, Embracing the Process of Progress, Let's Talk: Relationships and Self-Awareness, LEVEL UP, GRIT: Emotional/Mental/Physical and Resilience: You've Got This!. Ashley will also provide information regarding how each workshop/combination of workshops are strategically planned for the specific program she has the honor of working with to help student-athletes learn, grow, and conquer while navigating through all aspects of life both in and out of season.
